Limmud is a unique Jewish educational and cultural event open to absolutely everyone, offering an active, intensive and incredibly engaging learning experience. For more than 40 years, Limmud conferences have been held all over the world in many languages.
Participants build their own schedule, choosing from several parallel sessions. Presenters come from all walks of life — politicians, scientists, journalists, artists. And anyone can propose their own session.
Limmud is also a place to meet people: in its warm and friendly atmosphere you can find new friends, partners and like-minded people.

The Limmud program includes sessions — lectures, discussions and workshops on a wide range of topics — as well as concerts, film screenings, dancing and theater performances.
The Limmud Portugal 2026 program is very much alive and is taking shape right now. In our news we will publish presenters' names and topics as they confirm their participation. How topics and formats combine in the program grid — here is what one Limmud day could look like:

Limmud Portugal 2026 will take place at a five-star country hotel, 50 km (a 40-minute drive) from Lisbon and 280 km (a 2.5-hour drive) from Porto. The hotel is designed in classic Portuguese style and surrounded by golf courses and vineyards. Rooms, conference venues, the restaurant, the kids' area and the lounges for coffee breaks and socialising are all under one roof.

The magic of Limmud is that it is created entirely by volunteers. Both organizers and presenters work for the idea.
